The projects featured on this page are some of the larger scale projects we have completed. They include barn build outs and multiple room remodels. The galleries below show some before and during construction pictures in addition to the finished projects. All projects shown here were completed by Shawn Deaver Construction, LLC.
The brief on this project was to completely remodel a 4000 SF ranch lodge. This included a new kitchen, 5 new bathrooms, retexturing, and repainting throughout, new doors, trim and flooring. Much of the trim was hand crafted and then finished with a multistep glazing process to closely match the flooring. The contract specified that this project had to be completed by 'Dove Season', which at that time was less than 4 months away. This entire high-end project was completed with 2 weeks to spare in just over 3 months. The owner lives out of state and was the interior designer on the project. She was very involved in every stage of the build, so texts, phone calls and photographs of ideas, and progress were exchanged constantly. To complete this scale of project in a very short timeframe required very tight scheduling and dedication from everyone working on the project. This was the first of many projects completed for this customer.
Before - The Great Room. The Lodge was built in the early 2000s and the finishes were typical of the time. Walls were heavily textured and glazed and the stained concrete floors were showing signs of wear.
This Pampa home was custom built in 1958 by Dr. Chase. Although cutting edge for its time, it was starting to look very dated. No significant remodels had been undertaken in its 60+ years. It even had the original ovens from the 1950s! The house was structurally extremely well built so demo was challenging! The project was completed in 3 planned phases. The bathrooms were remodeled back-to-back in 2019 followed by the living room, kitchen and laundry room in 2020 and finally the dining room, bedrooms, and hallways in 2021. The electrical system was upgraded, and the house was re-plumbed. The kitchen and bathrooms were gutted to the studs. The whole house was retextured and painted. New trim, crown molding, doors and flooring were installed throughout. This home is now ready for the next 60 years!
Before - The Master Bathroom. This was a complete gut. Plumbing and electrical were replaced along with all new fixtures, vanity, sheetrock, tile and trim.
At the initial meeting for this project, the barn construction was almost finished, and the customer was envisioning a one-bedroom apartment as a retreat on their land. Later that evening the plan changed to a 3500 SF home with a 2500 SF shop area, with the main brief being that when they opened the front door, they wanted a ‘wow’ factor. Shawn worked with the design team to create the plan, and once approved by the customer, took this project from an empty shell to a beautiful, finished product. The contemporary styling and design features made this a demanding but fun project to work on. Just prior to this project being finished the customer dropped in with a group of hunters and the response from several was “Wow”. Mission accomplished!
It starts with a metal building.
This barndo was a much smaller project. The metal shell was 1800 SF of which 1200 SF were designated as living area. Shawn worked with the customer to lay out the floor plan and completed the interior build out. This one-bedroom, open floor plan barndo, is a weekend retreat on family hunting land. Irrespective of the size of a project, quality craftsmanship is always our highest priority. This project proves that small and efficient can still be beautiful!
This project was a build out of a newly constructed barn for use as a weekend hunting cabin.
This is a fourth-generation farm in the northern Texas Panhandle. The clients have 4 children and many grandchildren all living locally. The homeplace, central to the life of the whole family, was no longer big enough to accommodate everyone during holidays and the numerous get-togethers throughout the year. We added 1500 SF onto the residence. This addition consisted of a large living area with stone fireplace, a large utility room, an office/craft room, a master bedroom with master bathroom, and a concrete vault safe room. The exterior wall of the home was removed to accommodate access into the addition. The existing kitchen was a small galley and load bearing walls were removed and framing restructured to give them a 26-foot-long stunning farmhouse kitchen. Our team replaced all the existing doors, baseboard, windows, and flooring and installed crown molding and LED lighting throughout the home. The entire interior was retextured and painted. Both existing bathrooms were remodeled, and a tankless water heating system was installed. Maintenance free steel siding was added to the exterior of the home. New concrete driveways and sidewalks were poured. This small 1960s farmhouse has been transformed into a true homeplace for generations to come.

This Pampa home was built in the 1980s and had a large family room. Like many homes of its time, the kitchen was separated from the living area. In order to make the home more functional for a growing family, the load bearing wall separating these rooms was removed and the kitchen, laundry, living room, office and hallways were all remodeled.
Before - The laundry room.
This home was bought as a flip project. It required new plumbing and electrical and total renovation of every room. Opening the floor plan required extensive structural work. The kitchen was redesigned to improve functionality. New cabinets, appliances, LED lighting and quartz countertops were installed. The 2 bathrooms were gutted to the studs and the sub floors replaced. All new fixtures were installed along with custom vanities and tilework. The entire home was retextured and painted and all trim work, doors, and windows and flooring were replaced. The new open floor plan transformed this from a very dated house into a modern family home.
The Flip
This remodel was completed a few years ago but was a sizable project. A 1100 SF den was added to the rear of the home. The ceiling was 26ft to the ridge and the interior was finished with sugar pine tongue and groove. The structure was reconfigured to enlarge the kitchen.
The new den being framed.
This was a large remodel of a 1960s style home. A load bearing wall was removed to open the kitchen and living areas. Custom cherry cabinetry was installed in both the kitchen and dining room. The custom-built curio cabinets are structural as they also provide support to the new bean installed after the dividing wall was removed. In the living room, a new gas fireplace was installed with a custom mantel and surround. Bookcases were installed on each side of the fireplace, The other walls of the living room had wainscot paneling applied and all the woodwork was painted. The ceiling had tongue and groove sugar pine installed. Below are some before, during, and after pictures of the project.
